Budget Week Ending 04.14.13…

It’s that time of the week again and I am feeling slightly overwhelmed with the mass amount of money going out of our account this week and the small amount we’ll be left with come the middle of the week next week…it’s frightening almost, especially coming off of having the refunds sitting for so long, alas – that comfort will be gone…long gone…so good bye!

I’ve set-up weekly transfers from our checking to savings for the next six (6) weeks to  bring the $650.00 we have sitting in savings for a down payment up to $750.00 for the new car.  We discussed it and decided this was the best, most optimal down payment we could offer.  We think – and I emphasize that word THINK – that this will give us the best leverage when we return to the dealership at the beginning of June – that will also put (2) more payments to Credit Acceptance on our account which will bring the payoff amount down that much as well…so it’s two fold really!

BUT BUT to top everything off – and this is the prime kicker – after having a conversation with CitiMortgage on Monday evening – after receiving a call from our idiot homeowner assistance counselor – requesting a letter drafted by Jimmy and I stating that we don’t pay homeowner’s fees – this would normally be an ok situation but here’s the thing – our neighborhood is over a century old BEFORE the concept of HOA’s was even thought of and it’s really houses situated on through roads in an urban area.  HOA’s are generally used in Pre-Planned neighborhoods where they have that sort of thing…um not us…um it’s not been in ANY of our paperwork EVER that there was one…why they are asking for this now is beyond me! And, to add to it, I received a letter yesterday from them requesting MORE paystubs and a new Workable Solutions Packet – um nothings changed since 3/19 when we sent the first one?!?!? Um am I missing something???  So I sent off a new set of pay stubs and am requesting why they need this new workable solutions packet…please hold on this!

Alrighty then, onto why we’re here…the budget, please enjoy!
